Dr. Jared Lien is the founder of Lien On Me Acupuncture. He is married to Jessica Lien (Operating Partner), and they have one son Theodore. Professionally Jared is a registered nurse, licensed acupuncturist, and Chinese herbalist. He is certified by the California Board of Acupuncture & is a diplomate of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) certified nationally by NCCAOM. He completed his Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine and his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the prestigious Pacific College of Health Sciences in San Diego. While at PCOM he studied Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Western Diseases, Qigong, Tai chi, massage and nutritional therapy.
Dr. Jared worked as a registered nurse for the last 16 years at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, CA. He specialized in cardiac and stroke rehabilitation. During his time as a nurse, he realized the importance of preventative and holistic medicine. He believes you must treat the whole body, mind and soul. Jared retired from nursing in 2021 to purse his passion in Chinese Medicine full time.
Jared and Jessica Lien operate Lien On Me Acupuncture together. They have one young son Theodore who helps drive their motivation. Team Lien was formed in 2018 when they started worked together to build their current office in Pacific Beach. Jared & Jessica enjoy the freedom of entrepreneurship after both spending more than a decade in corporate work. At Lien On Me Acupuncture their goal is to provide a teaching and healing environment for their patients and staff. Dr. Jared specializes in pain management, sports medicine, internal medicine & emotional disorders. Dr. Lien practices a special style of acupuncture called Japanese Meridian therapy. This is a unique approach to acupuncture that uses small needles which allows for painless insertion. He enjoys treating all ages of patient from pediatrics to the elderly. Jared understands the importance of integrative medicine and wants to help people function at their highest potential.
Dr Jared Lien was an elite wrestler at the College NCAA level, he enjoys surfing, hiking and playing outdoors with his family. He grew up with two brothers in which sports and athletics were always a part of family time. Dr. Jared is an extreme health optimist who believes we all can take control of our health through daily practices such as meditation, exercise, journaling, eating a variety of nutrient dense whole foods, and most importantly just being happy…

Dr. Zhang-Callison is originally from China with a family background in traditional Chinese Medicine. Now, she is a licensed Acupuncturist certified by California Acupuncture License Board and National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Dr. Zhang-Callison came to the US for her bachelor’s degree in food science from University of California Davis. During her undergraduate studies, she discovered her strong interests and passion for traditional Chinese medicine. To pursue this interest, she completed the Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis courses and started a mentorship in herbal medicine and acupuncture with her teacher in China. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she decided to devote herself to becoming a doctor in Chinese medicine to help people in San Diego. After a four-year graduate education at Pacific College of Health and Science, she obtained her Doctorate degree in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and became a state and nationally certified licensed acupuncturist.
Dr. Zhang-Callison has a vision to use the wisdom of classic Chinese medicine to address the imbalance of people’s physical and emotional world to improve the overall health and wellness. In the clinic, Dr. Zhang-Callison greatly utilizes pulse, abdominal, and tongue examination as her tools for diagnosis. She specializes in Gastro-intestinal disorders, pain management, stress management, women’s health, and other chronic diseases.
Dylan is a born-and-raised San Diegan with a passion for supporting his community through his unique approach to healing. With a pre-med Bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz, and Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Pacific College of Health and Science, his treatment style combines an understanding of both Western biomedicine and Eastern traditional medicine.
He stems from a lineage of healers and his passion for healing runs in his blood. He was exposed to loved ones who suffered from chronic and morbid illnesses, and the experiences make his work meaningful to his core. He believes that Traditional East Asian medicine is the best first choice for most sub-clinical ailments in the modern medical model, and that integrative medicine is the most powerful modality to date.
Dylan utilizes a nearly pain-free needle technique in his treatments. His gentle approach is based on working with the qi of the patient to attain tangible results. Dylan’s healing style is collaborative; by empowering patients with knowledge and giving them the tools to own their personal health, he enables patients to optimize wellness beyond the treatment room.
